It is the medical specialty concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of of patients with injury to, or diseases/disorders of the brain, spinal cord and spinal column, and peripheral nerves within all parts of the body. The specialty of neurosurgical care includes both adult and pediatric patients. Dependent upon the nature of the injury or disease a neurological surgeon may provide surgical and/or non-surgical care.

Neurosurgery section has been active as part of General Surgery Dept since July 2011 under experienced qualified Neurosurgery faculty. The workload of Neurosurgery facility increased in May’2019.
OPD: Neurosurgery - Monday to Saturday From 9.00 am to 01.00 pm.
IPD : Elective Neurosurgical cases being treated of various subspecialty such as-
- Neurosurgical-oncology,
- Vascular Neurosurgery,
- Pediatric Neurosurgery,
- Spine Surgery,(open and MIS)
- Functional Neurosurgery.
- BRAIN AND SPINE TRAUMA
- with State of Art operation theatre with well armamentarim.
Upcoming CUSA and Neuro Navigation.
All types of Neurological emergencies are managed round the clock, with availability of additional emergency support from various depts. Like radiology / pathology / cardiology / nephrology / medicine / orthopaedics & Anaesthesia etc.
