Mission is to provide such knowledge and skills to the students that shall enable them
• To practice as a clinician.
• As a primary eye care physician and surgeon
• Also to function effectively as a community health leader.
• To assist in the implementation of National Programme for the prevention of blindness & rehabilitation of the visually impaired
Courses offered :-
1.Undergraduate Ophthalmology - MBBS students (150 seats)
2.MS OPHTHALMOLOGY ( 4 Seats/year )

IPD Services:
•IPD: Number of Units: 1, Total Bed Strength: 40
•Emergency: Daily 24 hrs round the clock.
•Cataract surgery - Cataract operation with Small Incision Cataract Surgery / latest phacoemulsification technique (No stitch) with foldable Lens implantation / affiliated to DBCS.
•Paediatric cataract surgeries done at minimal cost.
•Lid, Squint and Sac surgeries, conjunctival limbal autografting and other major and minor surgical procedures
•Running the Vitreoretinal retinal clinic regularly.
•All types lasers available for the treatment of eye diseases.
•Running specialty clinics in retina, glaucoma, Paediatric ophthalmology squint, cornea, contact lens clinics & oculoplasty.
Outreach activities :-
EYE Camps
•We are conducting eye camps at peripheral areas of Sangli, thereby reaching to the poorest blind population. Our eye team visits RHTC Turchi, Ankalkhop and Kadegaon frequently.
•These camps are conducted as a part of multi-diagnostic camps.
•School children eye health camps are also held.
•In addition to routine cataract screening camps, we also conduct camps for Glaucoma screening, Paediatric ophthalmology and Squint .

•6 rooms with specialty clinic and a minor OT
•Demo Room-1
•Modular OT with 2 Operating microscopes [ TOPCON, ZEISS] ,INFINITY Phaco Machine and CONSTELLATION Vitrectomy machine .
•Diagnostic Equipments Available - Anterior segment imaging, Specular Microscopy, Topography, Optical Biometry, Double Frequency Green YAG laser, Nd- YAG laser, A Scan, B Scan, OCT , Fundus Photo.
•Spacious Male & Female Ward ( Capacity=40 Beds)
