1.About Department :
Surgery department came into existence with the inception of our Medical College in 2005-2006. Since then it has grown manifolds and we are proud to be a department offering comprehensive surgical care to our patients. We offer services of General Surgery; Urology; neurosurgery; Plastic Surgery; Gastroenterology.
The department is headed by Dr Vinod Prabhu and assisted by Dr Shahaji Deshmukh; Dr Mote; Dr Moses; Dr Killedar; Dr Gandhi as professors with vast clinical experience. All are NMC recognised PG teachers. We offer 6 postgraduate seats per year.
We undertake all surgeries and super speciality services offered by Dr Rohan Patil ( Neuro); Dr Lokare ( Plastic); Dr Purohit ( Uro); Dr Pathak ( Gastro). Dr Ranjit Jadhav ( CVTS)
We have a well established IEC.
( Institutional Ethical Committee) which looks into all the research activities. We have well carved out theory and practical sessions for undergraduate CBME curriculum and PG teaching. We have a well equipped modular operation theatres and offer maximum surgical procedures to patients.
We have an established Skills lab department which students can use to enhance their skills .
We welcome all the under and post graduates to our college and utilise our services.
We have a well equipped Departmental library and Museum. The well equipped Surgical ICU offers state of the art critical care to patients. The department has many research articles to its credit.
