 1.About Department :

Department of Anesthesia is located in C- wing near main OT complex. We possess a state of art museum and skill lab with the help of which we conduct CPR training programs on 16th October (Anesthesia day) every year. We are involved in perioperative care of all operative and procedural cases posted in Bharati hospital, Sangli. We are actively involved in code blue team, COVID ICU management, emergency dept, interventional radio, neuro and cardiac patients. We provide back up support to all ICUs and wards for emergency medical care, resuscitation. We monitor and treat patients in SICU. We run PAC clinic. Besides routine ortho, gen surgery, ophthalm, ENT, Gyne- obstret, the gamut of surgeries include superspecialities including neuro, uro, pediatric, mucor, spine surgeries, bariatric surgeries, endoscopies, maxillo0fascial surgeries, endovascular surgeries.

We run a pain clinic and cater all cases referred for acute postoperative pain management and chronic pain management.

 2. Facilities Available :

1.Round the clock Anesthesia and perioperative care for Cardiothoracic operative procedures, interventional neurological and radiological procedures, adult spine, neurological, pediatric, plastic and vascular surgical procedures, Dental and oral surgery procedures, Renal transplant surgeries

2.Anesthesia for procedures – in ICU, in cath lab, in radiology, in psychiatry (ECTs)

3.Undergraduate and postgraduate training in Anesthesiology and research – bedside, with the help of skill lab,Training of Basic life support to medical, paramedical staff

4.Participation in COVID care facilities, emergency and trauma care, code blue team

5.Acute and chronic pain relief procedures - with the help of radiofrequency ablation machine , peripheral nerve stimulators, ultrasonography machines

6.Running of Anesthesia technician and OT courses

7.I.C.U, emergency and trauma care

8.Trained faculties who have chaired workshops, delivered speeches in state and national CMEs, conferences, reviewers of renounced journals
